--------------2D Gallery--------------

Mat Paintings
Group Projects:  Andrew Williams, Frank Harcourt,
Nick Makridis, Riccardo Serraiocco.
Programs: Maya, Photoshop.

Both these project were loads of fun, I've always liked 3D art better than 2D but these assignments really made me appreciate the skill and effort required to make great 2D art. The way we did this was by modelling the basic forms of our scene and then rendering an image which we split into different sections such as foreground, midground and background, and then divided the work and painted over the basic render in photoshop. In both paintings I was responsible for the concept and design of the main ships in the scene, I also took care of the structures in the background of the ship in the Manhattan Crash scene.
Character Design
Solo Projects
Programs: Photoshop.

I've always loved characters design, these three were for a class project at the beginning of my courses at CDI College, before we touched 3D. My teaches asked me for a shady Businessman and a Female Soldier, the last one was for another project later on where the class was divided into two and each team had to create a story and a concept art book to go with the story. My team gave me the lead for conception so I spent a night creating an epic tale of humanitys fall from purety and its growing acceptance of cybernetic implants as it seaches for a new home (earth having been destroyed). My character was the protagonist, a cyber human who was disconnected from the network and realised what humanity had lost.

Creature Design
Solo Projects
Programs: Photoshop.

Creature design has always sparked my interest but my true love is environment and level design or character design. These turned out not bad though, again it was a class assignment at CDI, the teacher asked us for a Dark Alien Shamman, a Light Alien Shamman, and a Beast.
